I would recommend to stay on Cape Cod and MV is a day trip by ferry. The Red Jacket Beach Resort is located in Falmouth, where the ferry MV is. Falmouth is located in the center of Cape Town. Red Jackets are engines for families.
I grew up in Cape Cod ... There are many "places" to tell the truth. Layer is certainly more entertaining than MV. If you can afford it, Chatham Bars Inn is by far the best place to stay. Chatham is the best city, near the beach, and many beautiful boutiques on Main Street.
